Website Accessibility
Legislation exists in the UK, USA and Australia to prevent discrimination against disabled people. This legislation extends into the provision of websites. Websites should be usable by the blind, colour blind, partially sighted and disabled.
ThinkMonkeys creates websites that are accessible from the start. However if you already own a website we can provide a number of services to help you ensure that it follows the guidelines set out by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) or adheres to the United States Section 508 accessibility legislation.
ThinkMonkeys can offer:
-
Web Accessibility Audits
We can provide a report, to your required level of detail, outlining how accessible your site is. We will rate your site according to the existing Accessibility Standards identifying flaws and areas that need to be changed.
-
Web Accessibility Tune-ups
Rather than create a report we will edit your site directly in consultation with you. The HTML, appearance and structure of your site will be changed, if necessary, so that your site adheres to the required Web Accessibility Standard.
Contact ThinkMonkeys to find out how much we can help your organisation.
